In Defence of My Position in Favour of a One-State Solution for Israel-Palestine
I don’t believe in states
but I believe in organisation and place.
We share a space and must make it workable.
I cannot at all believe in separate ends and means
they must be one and the same –
meaning that there is no end:
only doing the right thing endlessly
History is not experience,
not feelings nor fables nor tales of woes
but a story that weaves in all of its characters.
Now that we search for answers
in among the unworkable questions of the present
we must take example from what success we find
from the times and the places on whatever scale or size
where cooperation ruled,
where peace triumphed,
when reason made sense
or when illogic worked out fine.
